Crossings is located in the heart of West Lethbridge. As its development unfolds, this will become a thriving urban village - a true "neighbourhood" where people can live, work and shop and connect with one another. From an urban design standpoint, Crossings will be a convergence of "four community pillars" - knowledge, recreation, living and commerce.
Cavendish Farms Centre
Fun for the whole family at the heart of Crossings!
Cavendish Farms Centre is a 381,000 square foot state-of-the-art recreation and leisure facility located in the heart of Crossings. It boasts 2 NHL-sized arenas, a 10-sheet curling facility and is home to the Cor Van Raay YMCA featuring an aquatics centre (complete with a leisure pool, waterslides, lazy river and whirlpools), a multi-sport field house, fitness centre, gymnasiums, indoor track, indoor playground, child-minding and a licensed daycare.

Crossings is anchored around 2 High Schools and a future Elementary school. Chinook High School and Catholic Central High School West provide students with an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive right in Crossings. Sitting between the high schools, the Crossings Branch Public Library is all about Connecting You to Ideas. 55 Acres of Green Space
Crossings boasts a 55 Acre Sports Park with soccer pitches, football fields, softball fields, basketball courts, outdoor washrooms and lots of room to run and play. Crossings also features a scenic wet pond and extensive pathway system for exercise and outdoor enjoyment. Residents have a variety of recreation choices!
Playgrounds
Crossings Playground is OPEN!
Crossings Playground is a large scale, accessible destination playground that will keep large numbers of children from toddler to young teen active, engaged and having a blast with their friends. It was built with inclusion and accessibility in mind and features accessible surfacing and many accessible playground elements.
Some of the main attractions are:
- 25’ foot enclosed climbing tower
- Crab Trap netted climbing structure
- Dual 66’ Zip Track, with one standard disc seat and one accessible seat
- Fully accessible merry go round
- Games plaza
- Tot play structure
- Swings, including “Friendship Swing”
- Natural Play Pod, with rocks, stumps, cozy cabin
- Limestone all terrain track
The playground sits on the north portion of a future elementary school site. At this time, no funding has been approved by the Government of Alberta for design or construction of the school. .
Pathways
Crossings Has an Extensive Pathway Network
Crossings has an extensive Pathway Network that connects the residential neighbourhood to the school, library, park space, commercial hub and the major roads of Metis Trail and Whoop Up Drive in west Lethbridge. Enjoy using the pathways for your daily commute, some exercise or take a stroll and see the sites in and around Crossings.
